April Update 2025

Below are some highlights of changes from the last 10 weeks. As always, we would love your feedback and to hear any pet features you’d want from us!

Recent product updates:

• We turned on Agent Search for everyone. Looking up VC funds is our first use case, although right after are looking up people and companies in your extended network more generally. Results can be saved to a list and shared/exported. This searches across all the deep profiles in Distill and is super powerful so we’re excited about its potential.

• Assessments on Lists: You can now edit the assessment context on any List to include customized questions. These will be answered for each profile on the list tailoring the answers using the context you provide. This is like your custom research bot on lists.

• Export Lists to CSV & list sizes: you can have up to 1,000 profiles on a list now and can export the entire data set as a CSV. We’d love to hear what you use it for!

• How people know each other: our new Mutual Connection Analysis breaks down if two people know each other and how well (ie one invested in the startup of the other, they were at the same college the same year, they worked at the same startup at the same time, etc).

• Profile Summaries: we condensed work history and have summaries of when people are mentioned in the news or when they write longer form articles. The idea is to help you scan faster and dive into whatever sections are most relevant.

Up next:

• Agent Search: make the search experience more bullet proof and add to what data you can search against. We’d especially love to hear what you want to search for so please let us know!

• Connect: Distill is only indexing the people and companies in our networks so to make this expand faster we’ll add a Connect button to all profiles. Adding someone will invite them to Distill and will let you search each other’s extended networks.

• What you have in common: we’re going to add an analysis of what you have in common with each person’s profile you visit in Distill. This has come up a LOT as something useful to see ahead of a call with someone.

• Intro paths: we’re making a graph database out of everyone in Distill that will show you intro paths to a person or company ranked by strength along with context of how people know each other.
