Connect your Gmail to Send Emails

Connecting your Gmail account lets you send campaign emails (See Campaigns) without leaving Distill. Distill uses this connection to securely send messages on your behalf, so emails appear to come from your real Gmail address.

Once connected, you can send one-off emails, schedule multi-step campaigns, and automate follow-ups without leaving Distill. This article explains how to set up the connection and where you can send emails.

Steps to Connect your Gmail

1. Log in to Your Distill Account
   Start by logging in to your Distill account with your existing credentials.

2. Install the Chrome Extension
   This is required for full functionality and ensures Distill can interact properly with your Google services.

3. Connect Your Gmail Account

   Go to your Distill settings page and scroll to the Gmail section. Click Log in with Google to connect your account. Review the permissions and confirm access so Distill can send emails on your behalf.

   • You must complete Google’s authorization flow for the connection to work.
   • You can connect multiple Gmail accounts in your settings and choose which one to use when sending emails or launching campaigns.

     

4. Confirm the Connection

   Once the connection is successful, your Gmail account will appear in the Gmail section of your settings. At this point, you can begin sending emails and running campaigns directly from Distill.

Optional - Connect Your Google Calendar

You may connect your Google Calendar if you want to sync scheduling or use calendar-based features. This step is optional and not required for sending emails.
