June Update 2025

We’ve shipped some powerful updates this month—making it easier to discover people and tap into shared connections. Whether you're searching for intros, building Lists, or exploring networks, these changes are all about helping you move faster with better context.

Here’s what’s new:

• People Search is now live: You can now search across Distill profiles using job title, company, location, tags, and keywords. It’s especially useful for finding engineers, founders, VCs, and more within your network (and your mutuals’). Expect continued improvements as profile coverage expands.

• Connect with others on Distill - My Team: invite others to connect via email or link from a new My Team section. The main benefit is that you can search across each others’ contacts. Right now this is just linkedin contacts although we're adding Gmail contacts next.

• Investor section on startup profiles: You’ll now see known investors, funding round details, and stage info right on startup profiles—making it easier to assess who’s backing a company and when they invested.

• Connect your logins: You can now connect multiple Google accounts to a single Distill profile—eliminating confusion about which account was originally used and making sign-in more seamless

• Add a description to your Distill List: You can now add markdown-formatted descriptions to any Distill List—perfect for giving context, notes, or instructions when sharing with others.

What’s coming next:

• Company Search: Next up is making companies searchable via advanced filters, helping users surface results by industry tags, funding history, keywords, etc.

• Product design updates: We’re redesigning the look and feel of profiles, Lists, and Search focusing on clarity, information density, and interaction flow.

• Search results personalization: We’re working on surfacing more relevant results by elevating strongest connections first in search and intro path rankings.
