Thanks for being an amazing Distill user - we think you’re scarily good at what you do!

This season, we’re brewing up some powerful new magic to help you “find the right person and email them.” Our cauldron of updates includes:

  • Rolling out improvements to Search such as adding trait-based search, lookalike functionality, and over the coming weeks, adding 300M people and 100M companies to our amazing natural language search index.
  • Introducing the ability to email people directly from Distill. We take advantage of our comprehensive People profiles to include really great openers and highlights based on recent news or things you have in common. Emails can be sent directly from a Profile, and we’re rolling out the ability to send email campaigns to an entire search / list (stay tuned for an annoucement!)
  • Our hope is to make finding and emailing people in Distill so easy, you won’t need the services of Etsy witches!

We’re doing a soft launch of the general Distill product by taking down the waitlist, so please tell your friends and colleagues to give us a try. As usual, you can invite them to Contact Sharing so you can explore and search each others’s networks. We’ve also been improving other areas of the Distill platform, see below for additional product updates:

  • Send AI-Generated Emails from Profiles: You can now draft and send emails directly from someone’s Distill profile, even if you don’t have their email address. Just click the “Send Email” button in their header. The AI guesses their best emails and uses the context you enter and lets you tweak the message before sending, and you can add the person to a list to track an ongoing project or to follow up with later.
    • Request Intro Emails from Intro Paths: There’s now a dedicated email button on intro paths, so if you don’t know the person you’re viewing, you can quickly request a personalized intro from someone in your network. Distill ranks paths by who’s most likely to know the person best, making it easier to reach out thoughtfully.
  • Distill MCP Is Now Live: If you're using Claude desktop, you can now connect Distill via a custom connector. Just head to Settings → Connectors, add a new one with https://distill.fyi/mcp, log in, and start a new chat to confirm you're connected. It also works with Claude Code!
  • Passcode-protection for lists: Lists can be shared with a simple passcode for lightweight access control. The passcode can be customized and is only visible to the list owner.
  • Meeting Digests: Daily digests of upcoming meetings are now live for users who joined since August 15, showing who they’ll meet with and making prep easier. (If you joined Distill prior to this date, and you’d like to be added to the digests feature, let us know and we’ll turn it on for you!)
  • AI-Powered Job Search from a JD: You can paste in any job description, and Distill will automatically generate a candidate search based on key traits, titles, and companies. It breaks down the role, suggests filters, and uses AI to score matches, even when relevant info isn’t explicitly stated on a profile. Great for kicking off hiring searches in seconds.
  • “My Network” is now “Contacts & Sharing”: We’ve renamed the tab to better reflect what’s inside. This is where you’ll find all your contacts, including synced Gmail and LinkedIn connections, as well as your personal Distill invite link. When someone joins via your link, you’ll unlock two-way contact sharing: you can search within each other’s contacts, and their connections will show up in your intro paths.
