What can I do with the Distill Chrome extension?

The Distill Chrome extension (Download from Chrome web store here) is a core part of the onboarding process. It unlocks key features and enhances your browsing and search experience.

Steps to install the Chrome extension

1. Sign up for Distill or sign in here for existing users.

2. As part of onboarding, you’ll be prompted to download the Chrome extension (or Download from Chrome web store here)

3. Once installed, we’ll automatically start syncing your contacts and LinkedIn connections. This may take a day or so.

4. You can now use Distill from your Chrome or Safari browser.

Verify your identity and claim your Distill profile.

• Installing the extension verifies your identity and grants you access to manage your Distill profile. Once verified, you can manage different aspects of your profile. See: What can I update on my Distill profile?

View Mutual Connections and Contact Syncing

• View shared connections and sync your LinkedIn contacts. Understand your proximity to others on LinkedIn.

Additional Profile Visits

• Installing the Chrome extension extends your unique monthly visits to 30 profiles/month from 5 profiles/month without the Chrome extension installed.

Gmail Plugin

• The Gmail plugin lets you see key details about a person or company without leaving your Gmail inbox. See: Distill profiles in your inbox - Gmail Plugin 

View Distill profiles from LinkedIn

• The Distill Chrome extension lets you access Distill directly from LinkedIn by clicking on the Chrome extension.
  1. Go to a LinkedIn profile
  2. Click on the Chrome extension
  3. Click on See NAME in Distill to view their Distill profile from LinkedIn.
