What information is on a Distill profile?

1. Profile Header

The top section of a profile includes key identifying information about a person or company. You will see a dropdown arrow to access the header details. Press the arrow to open and close the header. We'll include:

• Header details, see: How to update your profile header
  • Location
  • Email addresses
  • Title and company (person profiles only)
  • Pronoun, age, alternate names (person profiles only)

• Tags (e.g. “executive", “VC”)

2. Overview

In the overview, we provide a brief description of the person or company. We will also provide professional and Personal Highlights (see: Read summary highlights on profiles), which offer a summary of their accomplishments and milestones. Each profile can have up to 7 highlights.

3. Connections, Mutual Connections & Intro Paths

Understanding how you're connected to someone can make all the difference. Whether you're reaching out for a warm intro or simply learning more about a profile, Distill helps you highlight shared commonalities, identify mutual connections, and uncover the best paths to connect through trusted contacts. Here are some specific features on how you can achieve this:

4. Work Experience, Education, Other Experiences

You can see a person's professional roles and background. We will also include education and non-traditional work experiences such as advisor roles, mentorships, board or association involvement. See: How to update work experience and education to learn more.

We'll display your current positions and also a summary of your work experience, including:

• Total years of experience

• Number of companies and positions worked

• Average tenure per company

• Company and company details such as duration, founded year, # of employees, location, and industry.
